I have owned this vehicle
since 1974. It is a 1964 Plymouth Valiant station wagon w 225 cu.in.
Slant 6 engine. The engine is balanced, blueprinted
and squared, with .090" removed from both the block and head
mating surface (11.1 CR), has a .060" overbore, Sig Erson solid
lifter camshaft, Clifford aluminum intake and headers, Holly 390
CFM carburetor. The head is slightly modified but all parts are
Chrysler OEM parts. W-2 rocker shaft stands, 318 intake and exhaust
valves and HiPo 440 valve springs. The transmission
is a Chrysler 904 w/8" torque converter and Turboaction manual
valve body. The suspension consist of 6 cylinder torsion bars w/90-10
shocks up front and Super Stock (3000#) springs w/50-50 shocks in the
rear. The
gear ratios range from 5.38 to 5.57, depending on tire size. Vehicle weighs
2880# with driver on board. Best times to date are mid 13's @ 96 - 97 MPH.
It just a toy, but I feel it deserves at least honorable mention. The
name on the side can from the old Ramcharger race cars of the 60's. - War
Wagon, and I painted in the old Soxx & Martin color scheme.
