440'S Mopar Of The Month - November
2007: I purchased it in Sault Ste Marie, ON Canada in 2003.
Originally a Sault Ste Marie, ON Canada car. Just across the bridge
from where " Dodge Main " Hamtramck was located. Ordered car, 1 of
998 built with a 340 & 3spd manual. Soon converted to a 4spd manual
by original owner Ken Edgar. Ken ordered this Demon 340 in Hemi
Orange while his brother ordered one the same day in Plum Crazy with
a 727 auto. Built consecutive VINS on the same day. Came in on the
same truck and delivered the same day. Real V2 Hemi Orange Demon 340
with Black Stripes,'71 early availability Electronic Ignition,
Direct Connection Hustle Stuff Hood Tach added at the dealer on day
of delivery 6/3/71. Coded with J54 Sport Hood, J45 Hood Pins, J81 Go
Wing, N25 Engine Block Heater. Member of Moparts. More pics at:

dragstrip pictures from early '70's at "Old 5th Line Dragway"

matching. Demon is also except for the 4spd manual trans which is a
correct '71 unit but not numbers matching.
