I found this 1979 Dodge Ramcharger in
WV in 1997, I am the third owner. It is a full time 4 wheel drive
with the macho package. It has about 190K on it with the original
engine and drive line. It has high back buckets, tilt wheel power
steering, A/C, cruise, exterior spare tire rack, interior roll bar,
sport mirrors, 360 C.I.D. 2bbl with an NP203 case and I'm still not
sure about the tranny (727??). The cluster has 8 gages: speed, tach,
volt, amp, vacuum, altimeter, fuel and oil pressure. The altimeter
was added by me when I lived in Reno. I have added a 3 inch lift, 32
inch BFG's, custom drive shafts with CV kits, and a 600 watt Alpine
stereo. I've replaced the floor, aft cab mount sheet metal, fuel
tank straps, most of the mount bushings, the entire brake system and
several engine components. I've removed most of the interior
(panels, carpet, padding) due to water damage from sitting outside
and leaking prior to me owning it. Except for the ride height, it
looks and drives like a stock vehicle.
