This is "The Black Beast". It is a
1976 Dodge Ram Charger 440. The factory limp wristed smog lump was
tossed,and a 12:5:1 528 stroker now resides. The engine has
440sorce.com's 528'' stroker kit. It has Diamond pistons and eagle
rods and and gets its heart beat with a 525 purple shaft mopar
performance cam. Inhales through a 770 holley truck advenger carb on
top of a 440 performer intake manifold. Exhales through ceramic
coated hooker headers into blown out red bombs. The 727 trans has a
3200 stall and is beefed. The axles are from a 1 ton Chevy converted
to 8 lug front and rear with Detroit lsd's. Its going to get
440sorce.com's stealth aluminum heads here in the near future. The
heads are the only real drawback to this engine. It should have
another 100hp and the devil only knows how much more torq!
The tires that were on it were all
weathered and checked Michelins. I bought a nice set of Baja BFG'S
for it so what better way to wear down a set of old tires? Watch my
