1997 Dodge Dakota
By Joe Logsdon

1997 Dodge Dakota By Joe Logsdon

This is my Mopar: 1997 Dakota red sport badge all black truck bumpers grille and all. Came that way. No factory 3.9 L parts fit engine hardly at all. Throttle sensors and throttle body and intake all factory Holley. I had to do a three way phone call to dodge and Holley to find a throttle sensor. Truck so rare only 109 of the proper TPS Sensors left for it. The sensor has a wedge shaped head and doesn't mount the same as ones from your local parts house. It's been an interesting ride building this truck with many one off designs. The transmission is even different. Weirdest vehicle I've ever seen. I have all numbers to it. It's my baby and can't wait to finish the typical dodge body work. If anyone knows anything about these weird trucks please inform me. Dodge says its a one year truck when R/T wasn't in play and then the red colored sport badge Dakota trucks phased out.
