1971 Dodge Challenger
R/T - Emailed By Randall Chet
Here's a Mopar for you.
I've owned this 71 Challenger R/T for 9 years now. I am the third owner
and have restored (restified ?) it from a rolling shell. The car is an
original 383 4 speed FC7 car, but since the numbers matching engine was
out of the car (it's in my garage now) I decided to make it a 440-6
clone. Right now it is powered by a .030 over 1971 casting 440 with Ross
pistons, Hughes cam, Crane rockers, ported 906's, and of course the six
pack carbs. 4-speed is the original 23 spline unit and has a 3.55 geared
8 3/4 with Sure Grip. It has an original gull-wing spoiler. The
car currently has 111,000 miles and is of course a blast to drive.
Thanks, I've enjoyed your site,
Randall Chet
