Originally owned by a
police detective in Ohio, this 1971 Dodge Charger 500 suffered many bangs
and dents before it sat in a field for 15+ years. After being givin
this vehicle I designed and built a fresh air induction unit consisting of
hood scoops from a Coronet and fabricated ductwork to feed cold air to the
newly installed 440. After performing a "Street Dyno"
test, as obtained from Dr. Jacobs, the car produced 383 Hp with the air
box "open" and 362 Hp with it closed off.
