I bought my Charger SE from
the original owner in 2001 after being laid off from Intel. Thanks to
the lovely separation $$$ that Intel offer me to leave, I bought this
just days after being let go. Well, the car is a bit of an odd ball.
Yes, it is an original triple black 1971 U-code Charger. After taking
the car home and doing a little investigating I found that the car
originally had a black stripe. How weird is that, how many black cars do
you know that have a black stripe. Also, to top it off the car has
manual brakes, manual steering, no AC, no power anything!
Anyway, I was originally looking for a car
for my buddy and found this car via my brother. As I relayed the info to
my friend he told me that he didn't like the 3rd generation Charger!!!
He wanted a Roadrunner or GTX! Well, the more I tried to talk him into
buying this car the more I liked it and told him that if he didn't buy
it, I would. Well I did buy it and it's been garaged since birth from
the original owners garage to mine. 440magnum, slap stick auto console,
leather inserts make out the only options on this car. Oh, by the way he
originally ordered a 383mag, and got the 440 by mistake....he didn't
complain, and neither am I!
