I am the third owner of this Barracuda. We
have owned the car for three years. The original owner owned it until
1997. It has become a family project, and all The Hartmans have fun
riding in it. I knew it was a hit when my 14 year old daughter said it
was okay to pick her up from school in it!
The car has the 273 V8, slap stick automatic, with a Carter 2BL. My
Grandfather use to be a Head Mechanic for a Chrysler-Plymouth
dealership, and this last summer I took him for a ride it. His response
after looking at it, "It will do." Then of course we had to take him out
and run the car through the paces.
As far as I know the engine and transmission are still original, and
with over 130,000 miles and have not been rebuilt. It doesn't burn oil
and it will leave people in the dust.
Thanks for letting me share the car I have waited almost twenty years to
replace. The first 1965 Barracuda I had was when I was in high school/
college (1978-1983). It has been fun sharing the love for my first car
with the rest of my family.
