1970 Chrysler 300 Hurst by Joe Gross - Update!

1970 Chrysler 300 Hurst by Joe Gross - Update!

One of the rarest cars having the HURST name on it is the 1970 Chrysler 300 Hurst, built in association with the legendary Hurst performance company, to give Chrysler the only luxury "Muscle Car" during the muscle car era of the 60's and 70's, and a throwback to the legendary 300 letter cars, this is 1 of 485 300 HURST conversion ever produced.

Under the hood is the 440 cui. HP "TNT" engine with 375 gross horsepower served as the power plant. It breathed through a dual snorkel air cleaner, roared through dual exhausts and required a beefed up TorqueFlite transmission. Ride was enhanced with a firm suspension due to tougher rear leaf springs and larger diameter torsion bars up front.
Power front disc brakes were standard, as was the 3.23:1 final drive ratio.
Some of the features of these huge power machines are a unique fiberglass power bulge hood with functional air scoop and dual depressed rotary hood latches, fiberglass deck lid with integral rear spoiler and rear end caps, the Hurst traditional White and Gold paint combination, deluxe wheel treatment and Side marker lights, front and rear bumper guards.

The Imperial leather interior with a long list of all the creature comfort available at the time. Doul 6-way power seats, A/C with climate control, PS, PB, PW and Door locks, Tilt-telescoping siring wheel with perimeter-recessed horn ring, AM/FM/8-track stereo, cruise control.

Base price new was around $ 5,842. this car with all it's options was $7398. It was the most expensive Chrysler in 1970 (except Imperial).
